Vision & Beliefs

Vision

We envision a church that daily lives life within the community. Instead of forming a church that simply reaches out to the community, we want to be a church that is immersed in the community.  Our vision is to "take church to the unchurched".

 Statement of Beliefs:

Belief about the Scripture (The Bible)

We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God written down by men under the direction of the Holy Spirit. We also believe that the Bible is the ultimate standard of truth, without error in its original form, and is completely sufficient.

Belief about God

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three distinct persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (The Trinity). We believe that each distinct person of the trinity is fully God.

Belief about Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (second person of the Trinity) who was born of a virgin by the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit. We also believe that Christ was fully man and fully God and was completely without Sin. It is through Christ’s death on the cross that mankind has the opportunity to be saved from their sin.

Belief about the Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third distinct person of the Trinity. The work of the Holy Spirit is to manifest the active presence of God in the world, especially in the church.

Belief about Mankind

We believe that God created mankind, male and female, for His own glory, and in His image. Man became alienated from God by failing to conform to the moral law of God in act, attitude, and nature (sin). Because mankind’s nature is sinful it is impossible for man to come back into right relationship with God on his/her own.

Belief about Salvation

We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, salvation only occurs when a person willing repents of their sin and places their faith in Christ as Savior and Lord.

Belief about the Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The members are those who have been saved by faith in Jesus Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God and make disciples of all nations.
